The Langleys team would like to introduce you to our new head chef Mandar. A seasoned chef with a passion for good food and a curiosity to mix varied flavours, he fits right in with the troupe here at Langleys. 

 

Chef Mandar brings his knowledge and expertise of over 10 years, having worked at top establishments like the Savoy London and the Gore in Kensington in addition to others. He has had a long standing relationship with Langleys and so when we presented him the opportunity to take over as head chef, he felt it the right time to join us and take on the challenge. Mandar will enjoy the freedom to lead Langleys to a new level of dining.

 

First thing on his to-do-list is to refine the à la carte menu - bringing to Surbiton a fresh take on some of our favourite dishes with flavours from all around the world. He’s also looking to getting the team on the same page with the menu to suit our brasserie style cooking. Rustic yet consistent, delicious yet adventurous and certainly ambitious will be on the horizon for our menu.

 

When we asked him about what was his priority for Langleys - he talked about working to get the food just right. Using fresh and seasonal produce, preparing everything from scratch, working with the best of ingredients and most of all, working with a team that is passionate about what they cook and serve.

 

Hailing originally from Mumbai, it’s been an amazing journey for Mandar over the last decade travelling to the west to realise a dream in the culinary arts. We have no doubt that his creativity will excite and inspire you.
